Leah began her nursing journey in Alberta after graduating in 2011. She was inspired to become a nurse by seeing a loved one’s journey through illness and realizing that nurses have a privilege to care for people in their most vulnerable times. Her compassionate nature and love of science, lifelong learning and progress are great foundations for her chosen profession.
Leah has developed her skills in 3 different fields of nursing, surgery, rheumatology, and neurology before starting her journey into the field of aesthetic medicine in 2020 with Eternal Beauty Institute and most recently Empire Medical. Now that she has joined the Zulu team she continues to expand her cosmetic experience and knowledge as well as developing a passion for precision medicine. Leah has always had an eye for aesthetics. She appreciates natural ratios and has a critical eye for detail when it comes to healthy faces and symmetry.
At Zulu she is grateful to have Dr. Lombard as a mentor, and the support of the Zulu team to branch out her aesthetic knowledge. Cosmetic skills include in depth anatomical knowledge of the face for injecting neurotoxins, filler products and PRP. She has learned all about the skin as an organ and how to optimize skin health for incredible cosmetic benefits.
Cosmetic services offered by Leah include neuromodulators (Botox, Nuceiva and Dysport), filler, PRP, exosomes via micro needling, micro needling with DP4 device & Beauty Booster, as well as body and facial contouring with Evolve, Evoke and Morpheus 8.
Leah is also our Precision Health Consultant and she assists Dr. Lombard with the functional health of our clients. This skill set involves administering Reviv intravenous infusions and intra-muscular injections, DNA testing and consultations, diet and exercise counselling, mindfulness sessions and general nursing support to clients for any of their concerns navigating health, wellness, and life.
In her free time Leah loves to cycle, swim, paint, read and write poetry. She is a devoted hockey mom and cat afficionado. She’s been known to whip up gourmet meals, just don’t ask her to bake dessert, that’s Amandas forte.
